White Pier in Salak Phet Village
As a matter of fact, there are a lot of piers on the island and most of them are located on the non-touristy eastern side. Two of these serve as commercial ferry services and transport people and vehicles every hour from 06:00 am to 19:30 pm 365 days a year. But there are other piers, much more interesting and picturesque!
One of these piers, fresh Salak Phet port, is located in the village of the same name in the eastern south. Of course, even before the end of its construction, a local child was already scurrying around here, and older Thais occupied the pier in the evenings, doing their usual thing - fishing for squid and small fish for their cats.
But we, like everyone else in the know, were happens Salak Phet Loi Kratong Festival.
Of course, as you might suspect, no shop or even a tiny shop with coconut or palm hats has yet been opened, and the beautiful white two-story teak-carved Thai-style two-story harbour building at the beginning of the pier is forced to live. pending real action by the administration.
Perhaps this is why the pier is one of the most romantic, secluded and lonely attractions of the entire island. What will happen in the future when the concrete piles feel the weight of hundreds of tourists over them is not so important, since now you can enjoy the white as a seagull in the sea lighthouse at the end of the pier, fishing schooners on a leash and a magnificent panorama of the uninhabited islands of the bay of this part of the island!
We are here at every convenient opportunity, which is what we advise you!
